Are there too many surveys for you to answer

DisgruntledI think there are and I'll bet you think so too. In just one day last week, I went from Lowes to Belk to 5 Guys and had Time Warner, our illustrious cable operator out for service and all 4 requested a survey to make sure that I was happy with their product or service. Believe me, if I wasn't, I'd be sure to let them know just like I complained at our local Ace Hardware store about the pine straw they sold me.

A lot of companies are now bribing you with a chance to win a gift card or an iPad or something if you'll tell them how your shopping experience was but I wonder whether anyone at those companies actually reads the results anyway.

And interestingly, I'm pretty sure that I've only had two disgruntled clients in all the years that I've been a Charleston real estate agent (and neither responded to a survey that our company requests, they simply let me know about it).

Actually two is pretty good considering one was selling during the housing decline and were disappointed in the price they were offered on their home but had they not accepted that offer, they would have gotten $20k to $40k less later on and the other was buying during the top of the market and was angry (at me?) because they didn't get the first 3 homes they wanted to buy and didn't like the home they bought as much as the ones they couldn't get. And I've had several clients that I was disgruntled with (only I held my tongue).

What do you say?
