Black Friday and Charleston real estate
Will there be any Black Friday deals in Charleston real estate? This year seems to be about the most over hyped Black Friday that I can recall but if there are any Black Friday deals in the Charleston real estate market this year, at least you won't have to get started shopping at either 10PM or Midnight in order to snag one because the lock boxes that most Charleston real estate agents use only work between 8AM and 8PM. There are of course mechanical combo lock boxes that agents sometimes use for vacant or distressed properties but if you want to see one of those homes, it's probably best to bring a flashlight along. You can of course start searching online for all Charleston homes for sale anytime 24 / 7 / 365 at your convenience.
Now as for Black Friday deals, I'm sure a few of the new home builders will have some kind of offer but they have a promotion just about every day anyway. I haven't noticed any open houses being marketed by agents for traditional home sellers offering a Black Friday early bird special or a one day special price. So if you want a deal on Charleston real estate on Black Friday, you'll just have to include terms in the contract that make you feel like it was a special sale (but you can do that any day you find a home you might like to buy anyway).
Now Apple is running a little sale this Friday so if you want an iPad or anything else, they have a little discount this Friday. Unlike some of the retailers who are practically giving the store away, Apple doesn't have to discount too sharply. And there's a little lesson there for Charleston home sellers too. When you offer a product that is in high demand, you don't have to cut your profit in order to sell it and you can make your home more desirable than the competition when offering it for sale also and sell for the highest possible price.
