If you don't think golf is big in the Carolinas, you haven't been paying attention
Start with the $10 million FedEx Cup won yesterday by South Carolina's own Bill Haas. Also in the field was my favorite hipster, Dustin Johnson who has been a regular winner on the PGA Tour. Then there is Lucas Glover who won the US Open a couple of years ago and now sports his famous "Fear the Beard".
South Carolina is indeed very well represented on the PGA Tour but you don't have to be a pro to enjoy playing golf and we are very fortunate in South Carolina to have lots of great courses to play and many great golf course communities to live in.
So if you enjoy golf and are interested in living in a golf course community in the Charleston area, you can find homes for sale in one of the many residential golf course communities in the Charleston area.
By the way, the PGA Championship will be held at Kiawah Island's famous Ocean Course next summer.
