Almost 25 percent of all home sales in Charleston are new homes
Despite what you may have read that new home construction is down to it's lowest level in decades (and it is), there are a lot of buyers who just aren't interested in a pre-owned home and prefer to purchase new construction. A buyer who will be visiting Charleston next week has told me that they have never purchased anything other than a new home.
It's obviously difficult for home sellers to compete with model homes that are beautifully decorated and staged to cause an emotional connection with home buyers. That is but one reason that home sellers have to make certain that their home for sale has no clutter, is in tip top condition and priced right.
