Trader Joe's opens Friday in Mount Pleasant

Two Buck ChuckTrader Joe's has a lot of fans from around the country and finally we're getting a local store in Mount Pleasant at the site of the old Hungryneck Antique Mall right around the corner from Whole Foods.

Many clients I've worked with from around the country who have relocated to Charleston asked me where our Trader Joe's was and unfortunately I had to tell them we didn't have one. That's all changing tomorrow.

And for those of you who enjoy a cheap glass, bottle or case of wine, I'm pretty certain they'll have lots of Two Buck Chuck around even if it's no longer priced at $1.99. My wife snagged several cases on a business trip to Raleigh late last year and I think she paid $3.99 (oops $2.99).

Who said there's no inflation. Wink

UPDATE: My wife said the parking lot was overflowing, check out lines were about an hour and the price of the wine was $2.99.
