Charleston airport traffic soars
In what shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, traffic at the Charleston airport has soared due in no small part to the arrival of Southwest Airlines serving the Charleston market.
Warren Wise at the Post and Courier reports traffic is up almost 32 percent over last year.
Airport Director Sue Stevens attributed the increase to several factors. "It's the growth of the local economy, the presence of Southwest (Airlines) and lower airfares," she said. "We are excited to have another record-breaking month."
Thank you Southwest!
