[Duh] jobs are good for the housing market, here's even more proof
We know that jobs are good for the housing market, you need not look further than the Charleston real estate market which has done very nicely in part due to the many Boeing employees relocating to Charleston to work at the new Boeing 787 assembly facility.
From the Houston Chronicle:
“The campus is expected to boost demand for housing, commercial development and office space nearby, strengthening the region spanning northern Harris County and southern Montgomery County.
Ronnie Matthews, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Legends, expects home values in Spring and The Woodlands to climb - despite building already under way in the area - as the Exxon Mobil complex creates demand for housing.”
And a little more on the subject of jobs and Jobs, Steve Jobs that is, fresh off his appearance announcing Apple's iCloud also presented plans for a new corporate campus to be dominated by a "spaceship" - like building to the Cupertino CA city council.
”It's a bit like a spaceship landed," Jobs said of the building's unique design while showing the council artist renderings.
