The Feb 2011 Blizzard, just one more reason to live in Charleston

Monster snowstorm targets ChicagoThe weather forecasters say that this will be the biggest snowstorm to hit Chicago since I was a kid back in 1967. Over 20 inches are predicted for Chicago and winter will be rearing its ugly head from Texas to Maine affecting over 100 million people.

So while it actually did snow in Charleston last February for the first time in twenty years (and of course, it melted within a few hours), it's a perfect place for a "weather wimp" like me to live.

On Sunday when we were enjoying sunshine and 70 degrees, my wife suggested we should play golf and if you would enjoy playing year round (instead of hitting an orange golf ball in the snow like my dad used to do), maybe you'd like to relocate to Charleston as well.

For those of you who might not remember that snowstorm in Chicago back in 1967, The Chicago Tribune features a picture of snowbound cars on Lake Shore Drive.

Stay home, stay warm!
