The seller says the price is firm at

Charleston real estate selling your homeX ... Except, this home for sale in Charleston has just been reduced again and the Charleston MLS listing still indicates the price is firm at X but with the price reduction, it is now listed at Y (lower) and you might want to offer Z except that it says the price is firm.

So is the price firm ... and if it is, I'll suggest that it is not a very good negotiating strategy because Charleston home buyers basically want deals.

The best advice for a home seller who wants to get a certain minimum amount when selling their home is to do several things. First of all, make sure that the price you are offering your home at is realistic from the start and the home is priced to sell. Secondly, if and when you have to take a price reduction and you are near your bottom line, don't say that in the listing and if you or your real estate agent does say that, well, if and when there is a further price reduction, make sure the listing description is changed so that it doesn't reflect the previously firm price.

When selling your home, you don't want to appear silly.
