Charleston home buyers want pictures and detailed information
Would you buy this home based on this listing information?
Today's Charleston home buyers start their search for homes online. They want lots of pictures and detailed information to determine if they might be interested in a home. Of course, sometimes too much information will rule a home out but you can be sure that if there is no picture and no description, they will more than likely pass and the home won't sell.
And Charleston real estate agents searching for their clients won't bother to look at this home either based on the lack of information provided. The new Charleston MLS rules set to go into effect on August 2 will result in a fine to the real estate agent for not including a picture but there is no penalty for failing to write a detailed description (other than the obvious penalty to the seller who was hoping to sell their home).
Sorry but this is just plain sloppy and the agent is doing an injustice to their seller by listing this home for sale. (oh, it's not a brand new listing either, I noticed it looking through the Charleston MLS hot sheet and the price was just reduced, no surprise there.)
