Garage picture fun from the Charleston MLS

Sometimes it seems like all you see on a streetscape are a lot of big white garage doors. And for a Charleston real estate agent listing a home for sale, it's sometimes difficult to get a good picture of the front of the home without having the garage dominate the photo.

The garages below look almost bigger than the homes.

Almost everyone who is relocating to Charleston wonders what a FROG is. In most other parts of the country, it would be called a bonus room but in the Charleston real estate market, it has always been referred to as a FROG which stands for Finished Room Over Garage. Here are some garages that appear to be two stories tall.

Sometimes you wonder why they build homes behind the garage or if there is a house back there at all.

My best advice when photographing a home is to shoot at an angle to minimize the garage. A nice clear day helps too but a big garage is a big garage after all.
