What does Canada Day and the Charleston real estate blog have in common

Pictures, or actually a lack of them.

Yesterday, I noticed that some of the pictures on the Charleston real estate blog weren't viewable so I called my website provider and wound up on hold for a while waiting for customer service until I hung up in frustration. Then I realized that many of the employees were probably taking vacation this week because it's Canada Day today and Point2 is located in yes, you guessed it, Canada. And that's forgivable since I am also on vacation this week spending a week at the beach.

Not only do pictures make this blog pretty but in many cases they are essential to the story. And what I figured out this morning is that the pictures aren't missing but it depends on which Internet browser you are using as to whether you can view the pictures or not because when I viewed the blog in Google Chrome, the pictures were there but when you view it in Windows Explorer they weren't.

So if I was going to post the Charleston real estate market report today, since all the statistics are delivered as pictures, or actually screen shot images of the Excel spreadsheet that I use to compile them, if you were viewing the post using Windows Explorer, you couldn't see any of the statistics.

And while I'm on the subject of pictures, wouldn't it be nice if every Charleston MLS listing had lots of pictures to help online house hunters get a better idea of what the home looks like.

Anyway, if you can't see the wonderful caricature of Harry Reid (courtesy of Saberpoint) below but see a blank box, use a different browser.
