The seller says the price is firm
... but is it.
A listing actually said this, "Will not last, price reduced, seller says the price is FRIM". So I'm not sure whether the price is firm or frim, whatever frim means or if it's just a typo.
One of the things that I do for a client who is considering several homes for sale in Charleston is look up the real history of a listing because those homes might not have just come on the market last month. And in this case, one of the homes that my client was interested in has been on and off the market for several years with several different agents.
Now when you look at the previous listings and discover the phrase in one of them, "the seller says the price is firm", you just have to chuckle when that same home is now listed for 6.5 percent less than when the seller said the price was firm. The current listing doesn't indicate the seller is no longer stubborn so you can expect that since most buyers aren't offering full price, it will also sell for a little less than list.
So it probably isn't a very smart strategy to be stubborn when selling your home in Charleston and indicate the price is firm.
Because the price might not be FRIM after all.
