Charleston luxury home market rebounds strongly
These aren't your ordinary McMansions. Charleston luxury homes are the real thing so whether you are looking for a historic home on the Charleston Peninsula, Charleston waterfront property with a dock for your boat or an oceanfront home on the beach, there is a plentiful supply, prices have come down, interest rates are attractive once again and consumer confidence has returned. The result: the Charleston luxury real estate market has been very active so far this year.
There have been 235 sales of homes priced at $600,000 and higher as of this morning according to statistics compiled from the Charleston MLS. That compares with only 170 homes sold during the same time period last year. And even more importantly, the last 2 full months, March and April saw 57 and 59 transactions respectively, the highest number of monthly sales since way back in July and August of 2008, a time many of you will remember as the height of the financial crisis.
Since this Memorial Day holiday weekend is the unofficial start of summer, a photo of a luxurious beach house is included just to wet your appetite. Contact me for more.
