Gurus and experts
Where did all the gurus and experts come from all of a sudden. Everywhere you turn, whether you are watching television or online, everyone seems to be an expert offering opinions on what to do and how to do it.
But they aren't always right.
I was flipping through television stations yesterday after watching Carolina beat Clemson and was amused at so called expert opinions being offered on a famous cable news station that in my opinion were totally incorrect yet the interviewer hung on every word this so called expert was offering. It's on television or you read it online or in the newspaper (who does that anymore) so it has to be true. But how many people might take this bad advice and be worse off than before.
And in the world of real estate for example, how many struggling real estate agents might sign up with someone they follow on twitter for coaching to help them improve their business.
Check references and consult with trusted advisers.
And how does someone follow over 15,000 people anyway.
And how come they aren't making money selling real estate instead of teaching others how to.
