[Where] are you searching Charleston homes for sale
Since just about everyone starts their home search on the Internet these days, it amazes me how many ad based real estate websites have sprung up trying to get "eyeballs" to their sites so they can sell advertising.
Of course there is Realtor.com which is supposed to be the "Official Site of the National Association of Realtors", but contrary to what you might think is not actually operated by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) but by a company called Move Inc. And just recently there was some controversy because an ad appeared on the site that was a little racy (subsequently removed). But that aside, their search technology seems more from the 1990's than today.
Then there is TruZilla, each with unique approaches to getting people to search there and actually, had Realtor.com done a better job with search when they owned the real estate search space, sites like Trulia and Zillow would never have existed.
But just the other day I got an email from a company advising me that one of my listings was added to their site. Unfortunately, the listing was not an active listing since it was offered for sale way back in February. And to top it off but not to my surprise, my current listings weren't on their site.
I sure hope you don't stumble across that loser hoping to find homes for sale in Charleston.
The lack of accurate information is the real problem with some websites where people are searching for homes for sale.
It could be out of date listings, pricing not current, sold properties still appearing to be available or all sorts of other things. Most do not have feeds updated daily directly from the Charleston MLS.
If you want to search for homes for sale in Charleston, just go to any Charleston real estate agent's website and search the Charleston MLS with their IDX search (Internet Data Exchange). And if you search on my website, registration is not required. Happy house hunting.
