Wouldn't it be nice
... if there was no spam.
I had to laugh the other day when a potential buyer contacted me through my website about finding a home for sale in Charleston. Right after I replied, an email came back to me saying that in order to reduce spam, I needed to fill out a little form to be approved to send emails to this person.
If they only knew how much spam I have to deal with on a daily basis.
I get a ton of spam sent to me. My email address is public because it has to be or I'd be pretty much out of business. And the worst spam that I get is by spoofers who use my email address to send an email to me. Obviously, I can't block the sender because then all cc messages that I send to myself would get blocked as well.
And then, how about the link spammers who feel that my blog is just the perfect place for them to advertise whatever it is they seem to think the rest of the world (or the half dozen readers who stop by my blog each day) want to buy.
Here is an example, (links deactivated)

And yes, I removed the comment because it didn't have anything to do with the Spoleto Festival.
Anyway, one thing you can be sure of, I'll never spam you.
UPDATE: this link spam comment was just too good to not share.
