Did you see the perfect home online
... only to be disappointed later.
Maybe, you finally viewed that home in person and it just wasn't as nice as what you thought it was when you saw it online. It could be any number of things. Maybe, the floor plan might not work for you or the neighborhood wasn't quite as nice as you thought it would be.
Or maybe, you were disappointed to find out that the home was already under contract contingent something like a home inspection. (All homes for sale in the Charleston MLS are considered active until all contingencies are removed so they are still available for you to view online). Some potential buyers want to know if something happens and the sale doesn't close as if that perfect home is the only home they want to buy.
It's interesting how many Charleston home buyers search for homes online. Some buyers want to really narrow their choices down to one home or just a few while others might want to see every available home for sale in Charleston.
(that might prove difficult with approximately 10,000 available listings and new homes always coming on the market.)
Take this home for sale (warning, shameless self promotion ahead).
My clients were moving from out of town and fell in love with this home when searching online. This was several years ago when homes were literally selling in hours, not days or months or even longer. They considered making an offer despite not seeing it because they thought it would be perfect.
I cautioned against buying it sight unseen and we did view a number of other homes. Now the good news is that the home was still available when they arrived for their house hunting visit and even better news, it was even nicer in person than it was online. So they bought it.
Well, they have relocated again and it's now available for sale. (I warned you.)
And it is a very nice home and it may or may not be perfect for you. So here is a link for more information about 409 Baycreek in the beautiful Stone Creek neighborhood of West Ashley.
But, take a look at a few more homes when you're ready to buy and make sure the home you buy is not only perfect for you today but will be perfect for you in the years to come. You'll be glad you viewed more than just one or two homes.
