When will the monthly real estate update be available
A couple of people sent emails to me wondering when will the monthly real estate update be available. First of all, I'm glad that people are actually interested in reading it and secondly, my apologies for being late. I like to gather the Charleston real estate market statistics right around the first of every month and write the real estate update to go out at the same time. Of course, we were at the beach for the week of the 4th of July and I came home to find myself not only busy but a little behind on things.
So here's what you can expect. I'll get the statistics published for the Charleston real estate market report in the next few days and send out the monthly real estate update by the end of this week. And because we're close to the middle of the month, rather than send another update out on the first of August, I'll just publish the statistics as usual at that time and send out another monthly update around the first of September.
By the way, when I gathered the numbers a few days ago in preparation, there were 708 residential sales in May and the median price was $186,955. As of just a minute ago, late data entries added another 12 sales to the month. And June has 755 sales with a median price of $192,000 thus far.
May and June have been the best two months of the year but I don't want to be disingenuous and suggest that the Charleston real estate market is rocking and rolling once again because after all, this is supposed to be the busiest time of the year due to seasonal factors.
But it's nice to report good news! Look for the complete Charleston real estate market report in the next few days. Thanks!
