Search the Charleston MLS

Unless you are a member of the Charleston Trident Association of Realtors, you really can't search the Charleston MLS. What real estate consumers interested in searching for homes can search is what is called an Internet Data Exchange (IDX) but since very few people would know what an IDX is, most Charleston real estate agents simply tell visitors to search the Charleston MLS on their websites.

When I was with Sandlapper Real Estate Group, we had a custom built IDX solution that was really good and real estate consumers were encouraged to "Search like Agents"(TM). IDX Broker is my new search portal and you can choose either a basic search, an advanced search, a map search, an address search or a listing search. And while the map search is the really cool function that is probably of most help if you are planning on relocating to Charleston by helping you to familiarize yourself with the Charleston area, the advanced search is better than anything I've ever seen before and you can narrow your criteria just like a Charleston real estate agent can.

With IDX Broker, you can search like an agent.

The search interface and menus will give you everything you would expect and then some. You can search by housing type, city/county/zip code, price, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, minimum square footage and days on market. Plus you'll be able to search by Charleston area, school, subdivision, year built, new or preowned, number of stories, master bedroom, fireplace, flooring, parking, interior and exterior features, acreage, lot description, foreclosures (in the special menu) and even a few more search criteria if you really want to narrow down your choices.

Happy house hunting. No registration is required (unless you want to save a fave or save a search and get listing alerts). And let me know how I can help you with either more information or with the purchase of any property you find interesting.

Here's a link to start searching now and a partial screen shot of the search portal.
