A time for patriotism, Flag Day 2009

Flag Day 2009The period from Memorial Day to the 4th of July is generally considered to be a patriotic time for most Americans. We remember those who gave their lives for our country on Memorial Day and the birth of our country on the 4th of July. But often overlooked is a little holiday called Flag Day celebrated on June 14th. More than likely one of the reasons that it isn't widely celebrated is because it isn't a "Monday Holiday" with banks and government offices closed and giving us a 3 day weekend.

Today is a day for patriotism and a beautiful day to put out your flag.
