Back to NOLA [A happy hurricane story]
Since today is the start of hurricane season, it seems fitting to mention that one of my clients who were residents of New Orleans during Katrina will be returning home to NOLA in about a month. Of course they lost everything back in 2005 and were forced to relocate to Charleston but almost 4 years later, they will be returning home to the city they love.
I can't think of a better place than Charleston for them to have spent the past years and I know they have enjoyed their time here immensely. But home is home and NOLA is calling them home.
Shameless promotion ahead: I will be listing their home for sale in West Ashley immediately after the 4th of July. If you or anyone you know is in the market for a very nice home that will be listed in the $239k - $279k price range, please let me know and I'll make sure you can see it first.
Here are a couple of helpful links to get you ready for this hurricane season. It's that time of year when I check out weather online at AccuWeather a little more often and watch Tropical Update at ten before the hour on The Weather Channel. And always helpful is the Charleston County Hurricane Guide.
