Spam, lame comments and advertising

... are all annoying. Every day I find myself deleting just about all of the above that are still able to get through despite spam filters and the "captcha" verification to prove that a commenter is human.

I personally don't understand why some moron thinks that they can post a non-comment comment with a link to their website and readers would find it interesting enough to click through. Here's an example:

Magnetic is the industry-leader in auto-stereoscopic 3D LCD displays, 3D content creation, 3D digital signage solutions and 3D software. See 3D without the glasses with Magnetic’s Enabl3d 3D displays.

Now there isn't much I can do about those resellers of those little blue pills and others who feel compelled to link to the Charleston real estate blog by stealing content and courteously providing a link back to this site other than to delete the track back and hope that Google doesn't penalize me for any association with these ne'er do wells.

And then there are the most absurd of all, a comment along the lines of "I've been reading your blog for a long time and don't know what to say other than I'll continue to read it." followed by a link to their silly website or blog.

Oh well.
