Surprise, this home sold for full price
Almost everyone I talk to these days about buying a home in Charleston wants a deal and why not.
I pay special attention to certain neighborhoods and so I was surprised as I glanced through the "hot sheet" of all activity in the Charleston MLS and noticed a particular home sold for full price.
Here's why I was surprised. The home had been on the market for almost a year. The listing indicated that the seller NEEDED to sell this house. And while the price had been reduced by a little more than 10% during the year, there had been no price reductions since last November.
While I wasn't involved in the transaction, I can't help but think that an offer for somewhat less than list price may have been accepted. But maybe not, maybe this was as low as the seller could go.
