O Charleston house hunter, Where Art Thou [now]

house hunting Charleston homes for saleSometimes you just have to wonder what might have happened to some house hunters who seemingly disappeared from the face of the earth (or just the Charleston MLS search on my website).

While no registration is required to search all Charleston homes for sale, sometimes potential buyers do register to save their searches or favorites or to request listing alerts for all properties that meet their search criteria. Others simply phone or send an email to me for more information about specific properties.

Not everyone eventually buys a home. And I understand that.

Sometimes, plans change and several people have been kind enough to either call or send an email telling me that they will no longer be relocating to Charleston.

But others simply vanish, sometimes after several months or even in a couple of cases, several years of looking every day at listing alert emails.

O Charleston house hunter, Where Art Thou [now]

... and in case you're wondering where the title to this post came from, of course it was the Coen Brothers 2000 film starring George Clooney with one of the great titles in film history, O Brother, Where Art Thou?

So after that brief pause while the credits roll, did any of them buy a home using another agent. Probably.

If you're working with another agent, that's OK by me. But I always wonder why those who are using another agent aren't searching for homes on that agent's website instead of mine. And by extension, if your agent doesn't offer search on their website or even have a website at all, why would you be working with them at all.

Happy house hunting.

But I do appreciate very much those who choose to work with me.

Dude,

Every Stealtor site on the internet has an mls search.  Why do you think buyers have to work with with you because they use your mls search?  Quit blogging and go grab some clients the old fashion way!

David, thanks for your thoughts. Now maybe you should read mine. I never said buyers have to work with me because they use the mls search.

What I wondered was why they weren't using their agents mls search.

And every *stealtor*, how clever of you but I'd rather not *grab* clients the old fashioned way but provide enough value so that they would want to work with me.

But thanks for stopping by and for not being totally anonymous.
