Two great food and wine festivals in Charleston
If I sell a million dollar home today ... or if I win the powerball jackpot tonight, there is no doubt we'd head over to The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island Resort for the 1st Annual Gourmet & Grapes Festival the weekend of March 13 - 15. It will be a five star culinary experience with proceeds benefiting MUSC's Hollings Cancer Center and featuring celebrity chefs from around the nation and some fabulous wines.
But you don't have to have a lot of spare change to go to the 3rd Annual BB&T Charleston Food + Wine Festival in downtown Charleston the previous weekend, March 5 - 8. And wouldn't my wife love to win a chance to cook a burger with her very favorite celebrity chef, Bobby Flay (she thinks he's cute).
Charleston is of course a great place to wine and dine and these two events showcase our wonderful city and great dining tradition.
