Hoping for change
The House of Representatives voted to approve the $819 Billion economic stimulus package by a margin of 244-118 with no Republicans voting for and even 11 Democrats voting against the pork laden bill. After the Bush administration's miserable attempt to "save the economy" with the $750 Billion TARP, it seems that newly elected President Barack Obama has his work cut out for him to deliver hope and change.
From AP, Obama will now seek Senate GOP help for the recover bill. In the meantime, Reuters reports The New Bank Bailout Could Cost Up To $2 Trillion.
Now that's some real money.
