December 2008 Charleston housing report

Here is your first peek at how the Charleston housing market ended the year with monthly, quarterly and yearly comparisons for sales, average and median prices and the inventory absorption rate. The more encompassing Charleston real estate market report will be available at the end of the month as usual.

Two bits of good news among all the bad, December was actually a better month than November and even more importantly, activity has picked up tremendously since the first of the year. While January and February are traditionally slower months like November and December, that certainly bodes well for a good start to the spring selling season.
