Staging your home, don't forget your garden

Charleston South Carolina real estate and homes for sale in Charleston

Staging your home for sale has become very popular in the Charleston South Carolina real estate market. There are a number of design professionals available to help you as well as your favorite interior designer or for those with decorating talent, you can do it yourself.

Whatever method you choose to do to get your home ready for sale, not only is the appearance of your home important but the condition must be in no apology, mint condition so don't forget to get that leaky faucet and everything else fixed that you may have overlooked these past months and years. Buyers are not just concerned with price, they are very focused on the condition of a home they are considering.

Most importantly, put a fresh coat of paint on the walls; painting offers you the best return on investment of all renovations and home improvements you can make. And don't forget to pack up all that clutter, after all, you're moving anyway so start packing.

But here is one more thing to consider. Everyone in the real estate industry talks about curb appeal so we know it's important to mow your lawn, edge, trim and plant flowers to welcome visitors to your home for sale. But consider your garden as well. What does your back yard say to potential buyers. Make it a special place as well.
