The first day of winter and Hanukkah

Winter in Charleston begins today with temperatures only in the 60's after this past week's record and near record temperatures in the high 70's while residents of the Northeast and Midwest enjoyed? cold and snow.

The Charleston weather forecast calls for a chance of rain and temperatures turning a little cooler.

And our camellias are in full bloom.

Tonight also marks the beginning of Hanukkah and I'm always glad when Hanukkah and Christmas overlap on the calendar.

Have a wonderful holiday.
