Agents don't want to deal with short sales
Take a look at this email that I received from an agent who was marketing a listing:
This is NOT a short sale. A great opportunity for any client you may have. Now only $XXX,000 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in XXX. The property is in very good condition and ready for a new owner.
So while you hear about the occasional short sale that actually closes, most Charleston real estate agents do not want to deal with them. A short sale is an oxymoron because they are never short and rarely result in a sale.
