Google celebrates its 10th birthday
... and the world is a better place.
I don't think I searched for information as much 10 years ago, maybe I wasn't as inquisitive as I am today, maybe I didn't need to find information quite as quickly (or easily) but I don't know how I could live without Google in my life today.
Of course, Google is much more than just search today, gmail, google maps, google toolbar, google reader (get one and you can subscribe to my blog) and much more and just about everything is free for you to use and is designed to make you more productive.
And Google is celebrating it's 10th birthday in very much the way we would expect them to, by giving back in order to make the world a better place.
They have created a fascinating website with a timeline to walk us through their 10 year history as well as step up with a challenge to find big ideas to change the world.
So in that spirit and in any way you can, you can make a difference; you can change the world by helping as many people as possible in your personal world. Thanks.
