Dads and golf
Father's day is about dads and golf. My dad loved golf and every Father's Day, I watch the U.S. Open and spend time thinking about how wonderful a dad he was. I saw this article a few weeks ago and knew that I would post it on Father's Day. From ESPN, Wright Thompson pens this classic about Jack Nicklaus, Father Bear. It's a rather long story so bookmark it if you don't have time to read it right away but I promise you, it's well worth the read.
Speaking of golf, did you see Tiger last night with 2 eagles, a miracle pitch in for birdie and hobbling on his bad knee. What an amazing performance.
And on a sad note just before Father's Day, Tim Russert, another great dad, passed away suddenly. My deepest condolences to the Russert family on this tragic loss.
Think about your dad today and honor your father.
