Japanese beetles are bugging me
As anyone who reads my blog knows, we love gardening and are very proud of the landscaping we've done and we were horrified this past weekend to find a bunch of Japanese beetles ferociously eating the leaves from both our knock out roses and crepe myrtles.
We rushed out to Lowes and bought a bunch of chemicals after reading what to do from the Clemson University Extension, just about the best source of helpful information for Southern gardeners. While it might have been nice to be green, urgent treatment was necessary and chemicals from Ortho, Bayer and Sevin were the recipe that was called for.
I hope we got them.
