Hurricane season starts today
June 1 marks the official beginning of hurricane season and let's hope and pray that we once again have a very non eventful season with little to no damage or loss of life. But after years of living in the Charleston area, you learn that it is important to pay attention, especially during the peak season of mid late August to mid late September.
A question that I get asked often by clients interested in relocating to Charleston is whether I am nervous about hurricanes. I think that you get far more notice of a potential hurricane than you do with many other natural disasters including tornadoes, floods and earthquakes.
If you see Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel, you know trouble is headed your way.
