We spent our "economic stimulus check"

... on concrete ???

Before

After

We built our house several years ago but we always felt our patio was just a little too small and so we just added an additional 60 square feet extending the dining area which you can see above as well as expanding the grilling area to the right. We haven't exactly decided what to do with our new patio, we might lay tile or we may go the Charleston garden style with brick pavers but for now, we're going to let the concrete bake and harden in the summer sun and we'll make a decision this fall.

As to the economic stimulus check, I just thought it was somewhat "silly" by the government to think that $600 / $1200 / $300 per child extra would be a helpful solution to the more serious economic woes facing many Americans today. So we spent our economic stimulus check (actually it didn't cost $1200 for the patio addition) on something you could describe in an equally a silly way

... concrete Wink

Or we could have chosen to fill up our gas tank with the extra money.

I think Gov. Huckabee said it best...We'll borrow from China to pay Saudi for gas to drive to Walmart to buy more goods from China.

Charlie, well said even if you didn't say it first.
