Summerville Flowertown Festival
The Summerville YMCA Flowertown Festival presented by The Ponds is this weekend and let's hope the rain stops (it usually does) and that the azaleas are in full bloom (they usually are). Once again, The Ponds is sponsoring and it's a natural fit because The Ponds has donated land and $3 million towards construction costs to the YMCA for their new facility to be built at The Ponds.
As usual, a quarter of a million people are expected to enjoy the weekend in Historic Downtown Summerville and Azalea Park. We usually go first thing on Saturday morning while many people are watching the Cooper River Bridge Run.
In my opinion, The Ponds, being developed by Greenwood Development will be one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of greater Charleston. Homes begin in the $300's and homesites start in the mid $150's. If you're looking for Lowcountry, The Ponds is a great place to consider.
