A full time Charleston real estate agent

... is more important than ever for buyers and sellers in today's current difficult market conditions.

After taking a long weekend off to attend a family wedding in Orlando, I don't know how any Charleston real estate agent can successfully manage to do everything that is required to represent buyers and sellers unless they are a full time real estate professional.

I had my laptop and cell phone with me over the long weekend and I kept up with what was happening back in Charleston and took care of a few urgent things while out of town but as I sit here early in the morning on my first day back, my "to do" list is fairly lengthy with emails to respond to, phone calls to return, listing alerts to set up, additional information to provide on property inquiries, getting a comparative market analysis (CMA) ready for a listing, check through the hot list of all new listings entered into the MLS the past few days, provide additional information for an individual considering relocation to Charleston and quite a few other things so I'm actually relieved that a client postponed a house hunting trip that was supposed to begin this morning.

I work full time at real estate and spend a minimum of 12 hours per day most days and I don't know how a part time agent can work a full time job and dabble at real estate on the side. I just closed a transaction with another real estate professional and we both agreed it was a pleasure to work together to smoothly bring the transaction to a successful outcome. Each of us have dealt with agents who don't promptly return phone calls and respond to emails and who simply want to show up at the closing to collect a check.

Today's current market conditions require a real estate agent to do more than stick a for sale sign in the yard and enter the listing in the MLS to successfully sell a home in Charleston. Today's market conditions require that a real estate agent understand the real value of property and know where to find value when helping a buyer negotiate the purchase of a home for sale.

Whether you are buying or selling your first home or your fifth home, it's more important than ever to use the services of an experienced, full time Charleston real estate professional. It's your money, hire the best.
