Sellers, check your listing

sellers, check your listing for accuracyWith a hat tip to Benn at Agent Genius, this house was incorrectly priced at $1,490,000,000 (that's almost $1.5 Billion) when the listing agent accidentally added a couple of zeros and the house sat unsold for 107 days since it likely didn't show up in many search results.

A Redfin agent noticed it and advised the real estate agent who promptly corrected it. Redfin is of course famous (infamous) for their silly Consumer Bill of Rights and their even sillier Real Estate ScientistMatt Goyer, a Redfin employee reported on this on his blog and offered this good advice to sellers:

"First recommendation: Engaged owners should verify their listing on a few online real estate sites to make sure everything is correct!

Second recommendation: If you’re selling a 1.5 million dollar house you should have more than one photo!"

Sellers, when hiring a real estate agent to sell your home, stay involved in the process.
