Charleston golf

Think of Charleston and you think of great golf with Kiawah Island's Ocean Course leading the list of many beautiful and challenging golf courses in the Lowcountry. But you don't often think of professional golfers who live in the Charleston area, it seems most live in Florida and Arizona but DJ Trahan of Mount Pleasant won the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic yesterday coming from behind to beat Justin Leonard. DJ is a former standout at Clemson and this was his second PGA Tour win, the other being the Southern Farm Bureau Classic in 2006.

Of almost equal importance, he will now qualify to play in The Masters.

Where does he live in Mount Pleasant? Is he a member at one of the clubs there?

JS, couldn't tell you that but I hear that his father is a teaching pro somewhere in South Carolina as well (not sure whether it's the Charleston area). Maybe DJ can trade up and buy a little more expensive home now.
