Southern Living loves Charleston...
...and we love Southern Living.
I just purchased some new storage containers to organize the many years of Southern Living Magazine we have and while I was putting them away, I couldn't help but notice how many articles featured some aspect of the Charleston area.
There always seems to be something about Charleston for the Southern Living writers to highlight. For each of the past two years, the contest's grand prize was a weekend in Charleston, last year at The Charleston Place Hotel in downtown and this year at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island. One of three Southern Living Idea Houses was on Daniel Island last year (by the way, if an idea house is ever close to wherever you are, you should definitely make a point to visit).
Charleston's magnificent gardens and Charleston's beautiful homes and architecture and Charleston's fabulous restaurants and cuisine are always popular subjects in Southern Living. By my estimate, Charleston is probably featured in two thirds to three quarters of the issues published every year. There is always something to write about in Charleston and even more to see when you live here.
