More pictures improves search on the Charleston MLS

Online real estate consumers will find searching the Charleston MLS to be more fun and helpful as more pictures will now be available on listings. Charleston South Carolina real estate agents will now be able to put up to 24 pictures on real estate listings, up substantially from only 9 allowed previously.

A common complaint that I hear from my clients who are searching for homes in the Charleston area is the lack of pictures available when viewing listings. While virtual tours helped fill the gap and offered more glimpses of the home, I personally find them too slow (even with a high speed connection) to watch as the camera slowly pans the room. I would much rather click from picture to picture to get a sense of the home and with up to 24 pictures now available with all listings, I look forward to seeing lots of pictures with each listing.

What do you think of virtual tours, do you like them or not and what do you think about the new 24 picture limit?

A penny for your thoughts.

Best site I have seen for the charleston area is http://www.charlestonvirtualhomes.com

great quality photos.

In this day in age it is hard to believe that some RE agents aren't putting up pictures of listings online at all!

Increasing the amount of pics on the MLS is a great idea. Maybe not for RE agents though...but for Buyers, Hell yes!

JS, for no reason that I can figure out, some real estate agents don't see the value of putting lots of pictures (or rich descriptions) in their listings and the loser is the seller who hired them. Considering that over 80% of all real estate search begins online and pictures are what consumers want, I'm delighted to have more photos.
