Ginn Tribute at RiverTowne, Mount Pleasant
We're headed over to Mount Pleasant and RiverTowne Country Club this morning for the final round of the Ginn Tribute Presented by Annika on a soggy Sunday morning. After not having any rain in the Charleston area for at least a month, the skies opened yesterday with over 2 inches of tropical moisture provided by Barry with some much needed if poorly timed rain. I noticed the Weather Channel seemed a bit thrilled to have a tropical storm to "kick off" the first day of the hurricane season - they could afford to be a little more humorous about the timing especially with a storm like this, one of the beneficial ones, providing much needed rain with no destruction.
The rain seemed to keep buyers from looking at any Charleston South Carolina real estate yesterday or they were busy at the Spoleto Festival, the golf tournament or doing something other than having any interest in real estate, at any rate, my phone didn't ring yesterday with any showings on my listings or anybody wanting to look at any houses. Murphy's Law says that because you can't have your phone turned on during a golf tournament (phone etiquette should be a required course held by the providers upon signing your new 2 year contract but that is a subject for another post), today my phone will be turned off and the likely phone calls will go to voice mail. It looks like it will be an exciting final round so I'm taking the day off from real estate, see the women professionals play some great golf on a wonderful and very tough golf course and catch up on Monday.
Fore!
