Why I require home inspections
There is a very good reason why I require home inspections for everyone who buys a home. Quite simply, it is vitally important that you know exactly what the condition of the house is in before you take possession.
No matter what level of expertise you have regarding construction, a home inspection is essential and can at minimum give you peace of mind. Even if the home is a fixer upper and will be sold as is, it is important that you know what the condition of the house is based on an inspection from a licensed professional and what you may have to deal with regarding future repairs. As a professional real estate agent, I require you to sign off that you do not want to have a home inspection despite my recommendation.
