Mortgage trigger lists

Many people who search the web are concerned when asked to register for fear their name will be sold to a list generator who sells their information to others they have no interest in dealing with.

First of all, many sites don't give out any information without requiring you to register. I would caution you not to provide your name until you feel comfortable that there is good information available without any registration before providing your contact information. That is one reason why I offer a choice for MLS search with no registration required for a basic search and the option to register for an advanced search.

My privacy policy, simple, your name stays here. Even more troubling than a simple log in on a website is applying for a mortgage in good faith with a lender and not being aware of potentially serious consequences. One of the hottest issues within the real estate business these days is "trigger lists." You may not have heard about these lists, but if you get on one it could become a problem when you apply for a mortgage.

I am glad you picked to write about this. It needs a lot of attention and demands of change. The Feds think it is cool by promoting competetion. Wrong. Lar

Larry, good to hear from you. And the government contends that inflation is moderate at 2.5% but I just paid 15% more for a diet coke at McDonalds as the price zoomed from $1.00 to $1.15. Oh yeah, food and energy don't count, we don't use them everyday. :)
