Mortgage rates at 06 lows
With all the talk about rising interest rates, you might be surprised to find mortgage rates at the low for all of 2006. While the article indicates a rate of 6.11%, that is the average rate and one of my preferred lenders is offering a 5.75% rate for 30 year fixed. You will also note that ARM's have not had much of a spread advantage since the Federal Reserve Bank started raising short term rates because the long end of the Treasury market hasn't gone up at the same rate as short term rates.
