Everyone wants to know what other homes in their neighborhood sold for recently; today, it's one of the most popular searches on the internet and almost a hobby for many people. It's one of the reasons that automated home valuation sites like Zillow with their home "zestimates" and other similar websites are so popular today. There are limitations, however, with many of those websites having wide descrepancies in the home valuations returned as results. Zillow even admits a margin of error in valuing your house as much as 33%. I have seen worse.
